概要
ゲームはファンタジー世界をテーマにしていて、プレイヤーは村のチーフになる。主にゲーム内資源を使い自分の村を成長させ、対戦結果によって変動するトロフィーを収集することが目的となる。主な資源は「ゴールド」「エリクサー」「ダークエリクサー」である。「クラン」と呼ばれるコミュニティを作ると、クラン内での会話や、クラン同士の対戦をすることもできる。 また、クラッシュ・オブ・クランは多くの海外サイトから良い評判を得ている。また、後に本作のキャラクターがモチーフとなったクラッシュ・ロワイヤルが発表され、キャラクター、魔法、世界観が踏襲されている。

The Barbarian King is the first Hero unlocked in the Home Village at Town Hall level 7 when players finish the construction of the Hero Hall. He is a larger, stronger, meaner, tougher, more aggressive, more impressive, and more powerful version of the Barbarian.
The Archer Queen is essentially a much more powerful version of the Archer, unlocked at Hero Hall Level 2, which requires Town Hall Level 8. In addition to possessing much higher damage and hitpoints, the Archer Queen also shoots 1.5 tiles farther than a normal Archer (5 tiles instead of 3.5 tiles).
The Grand Warden is the third Hero unlocked at Hero Hall level 5, which requires Town Hall 11. He is a single-target unit with low health and relatively low damage, but he makes up for it with his long range and supporting abilities.
The Royal Champion is the fifth Hero unlocked once the Hero Hall reaches Level 7, which is available at Town Hall level 13. She has moderately high DPS, moderate health, and targets defenses. She can also jump over Walls, much like the Hog Rider and Headhunter.
The Minion Prince is an aerial Hero who attacks all targets from long range that was introduced on November 25, 2024, during the Town Hall 17 update. He is unlocked by upgrading the Hero Hall to level 3, which requires Town Hall 9.
Battle Machine is the first Hero unlocked in the Builder Base. It requires a level 5 Builder Hall and 900,000 Builder Elixir to repair.
Battle Copter is the second Hero unlocked in the Builder Base. It requires a level 8 Builder Hall and 2,500,000 Builder Elixir to construct. When constructed, the Battle Copter is built at level 15. This counts as 15 levels towards the level 5 upgrade requirement of the B.O.B Control (which requires the Battle Copter and Battle Machine to be upgraded to a combined level of 45), rather than just one.
