Kathmandu Indra Jatra View
The Indra Jatra festival celebrates Lord Indra, who is considered the ‘God of Rain’. The festival marks the end of the harvest season in the country and includes a colourful procession of chariots carrying 'living goddess'. Known as Kumari, the girl holds a special place in both Hindu and Buddhist traditions and signifies the divine feminine.
